A Monster Hunter Rise Demo Releases on Switch Tomorrow
Rise to the occasion with the new Monster Hunter Rise demo coming tomorrow.
In Capcom’s Monster Hunter Digital Event today, a few exciting announcements were made in regards to the series’ upcoming title Monster Hunter Rise. One of the first announcements is that, starting tomorrow January 8th, a demo for the game will be available for free on the Nintendo eShop for Switch.
The demo runs until January 31st, giving players about three weeks to see what the game is all about.
In the demo, you’ll be able to play in offline solo mode as well as local and online multiplayer. You’ll also be able to try out all 14 weapon types. Additionally, players will be able to try training mode, where they can learn the basics. Wyvern Riding is a brand new feature for players to take on. On top of all that, beginner quests will be available which are perfect for first time hunters and intermediate quests which are for the more experienced players.
Players will be able to try a total of 30 quest attempts shared between both beginner and intermediate quests. It should be noted that the tutorial and wyvern riding trainings don’t count towards these quests. That being said, players will be unable to access those trainings once the 30 quest limit has been reached.
The other big announcement shown off during the Digital Event today was the new monster Goss Harag. This dangerous creature makes its home in the Frost Islands of the game. Frost Islands were once teeming with dragons that only the bravest of the hunters would take on. While there will be some new monsters to slay, fans of the game will recognise some familiar monsters as well including: Lagombi, Khezu, Great Baggi and more.
So head over to the Nintendo eShop tomorrow to download this free demo. You’ll need a Nintendo Online Membership to play online.
