Ten Years Later, Max Payne 3’s Soundtrack is Getting a Vinyl and Digital Release
Max Payne is.. not back. But the soundtrack to his latest, and so far last, game is being released digitally and on vinyl.
Max Payne 3 was released ten years ago in 2012 which, in turn, was just over ten years since the previous entry in the series was released. It sees gruff ex-cop Max Payne taking on a private security contract in São Paulo, Brazil and, unsurprisingly, things take a turn for the worse.
Like previous entries in the series, Max Payne 3 features plenty of slo-mo shoot-em-up action but it also has a top-notch soundtrack from rock band HEALTH. It’s this soundtrack which is being released digitally and also, if vinyl is your thing, as a limited edition LP. And, aside from the semi-industrial soundtrack itself, it’ll sport tracks that didn’t make it into the final game.
So how do you get your hands on the limited edition vinyl, so you can put it up on your wall and never actually play it? You’ll have to wait for now, unfortunately. It’ll eventually be coming to the Rockstar Store but it’s not set for a release till later this year. Hopefully it won’t be too pricy, something in the region of £29.99 but if it’s genuinely limited, the vinyl version could sell fast.
In the meantime, you can listen to some of the soundtrack through this link here.
